April 2023 OTT Release India: With April ushering in summer, OTT platforms are going all out. Although The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel enters its final season, there will also be popular shows like Indian Matchmaking, which is in its third season and stars Seema Tapadia and her Seema-isms, and the much-anticipated Citadel, which stars our very own Priyanka Chopra Jonas. These, and so much more, will be available week after week in April, so be ready to binge!

If you still have room in your TV viewing schedule after the return of Succession and Ted Lasso with fresh seasons in March, there’s more on the way in April. Citadel, starring Priyanka Chopra, is a crime thriller; Indian Matchmaking 3 is a guilty pleasure; Jubilee is a return to Indian cinema’s Golden Era; and The Marvelous Mrs Maisel is in its final season in April 2023 OTT Release.

War Sailor, Netflix, April 5

This three-episode limited series, written and produced by Gunnar Vikene, stars Kristoffer Joner, Pal Sverre Hagen, and Ine Marie Wilmann, among others, and is based on true events of Norwegian merchant sailors and their families during and after World War II. It is an adaption of Norway’s biggest theatrical blockbuster and includes previously unseen material.

IRL — In Real Love, Netflix, April 6

Byomkesh O Pinjrapol, HoiChoi, April 7

This Bengali series helmed by Sudipto Roy is based on Sharadindu Bandyopadhyay’s Chiriyakhana and follows private detective Byomkesh Bakshi and his closest buddy novelist Ajit Kumar Banerjee as they unravel a spine-chilling mystery in which everyone is a suspect.

Jubilee: Amazon Prime Video
Streaming on: April 7

Prosenjit Chatterjee, Aditi Rao Hydari, Aparshakti Khurana, Wamiqa Gabbi, Sidhant Gupta, Nandish Sandhu, and Ram Kapoor are among the cast members. The first five episodes of the series will be available for streaming on April 7, with the last five episodes following on April 14.

The Marvelous Mrs Maisel S5: Prime Video

Miriam Midge Maisel (Rachel Brosnahan) will be closer to her long-awaited achievement in the final season of The Marvelous Mrs Maisel, only to realise that the path ahead is still long. The first three episodes of the series will be available on April 14, followed by a new episode every week.

Mrs Undercover: ZEE5
Streaming on: April 14

In the ZEE5 film Mrs Undercover, Radhika Apte plays a housewife until she is rehired as an undercover agent to track down a serial killer who targets strong and independent women. The teaser suggests that the film will be amusing, with Apte’s Durga morphing from a modest housewife into an undercover agent who dispatches crooks with the same ease with which she handles her family.

Chupa, Netflix, April 7

Alex, the film’s protagonist, is a teenager who visits his family in Mexico and finds a young chupacabra sheltering in his grandfather’s shed. This mythological creature has the appearance of a spiky-haired dog with wings and keen jaws. Alex and his cousins set off on a journey to save it.

Hunger, Netflix, April 8

Aoy operates her family’s stir-fried noodles restaurant, and she is aware that she is unique and talented; but, when she joins Chef Paul’s crew, she learns about the other side of the food business and industry.

Plane, Lionsgate Play, April 14

This film, starring Gerard Butler and Mike Colter, depicts a pilot who is forced to land in a conflict zone due to a storm and has a seriously damaged aircraft in tow with a fugitive in tow.

Tooth Pari: When Love Bites: Netflix
Streaming on: April 20

This series, starring Tanya Maniktala and Shantanu Maheshwari, tells the story of a vampire with a broken tooth who falls in love with a bashful dentist.

Citadel, Amazon Prime Video, April 28

This six-episode action, sci-fi thriller starring Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Richard Madden is about an espionage agency that falls and their agents’ memories are erased as a result. They must, however, resist the powerful crime organisation that is responsible for all of this, and in order to do so, they must remember their past and fight back.
