A massive earthquake measuring 6.4 magnitude jolts Nepal’s Jajarkot district, before midnight on Friday, killing around 128 people.
The quake hit at a depth of 10 km. More than 100 people sustained injuries in the Jajarkot and Rukum districts of Western Nepal, and other locations have lost connection.
The epicentre of the earthquake was at Lamidanda area in Jajarkot, according to the officials at the National Measurement Centre.
Several houses collapsed and communications have been cut off with many villages in Nepal.
Strong tremors were felt across several North Indian states, including Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and the Delhi- NCR region.
