Praban Kumar Borthakur takes charges as the new Chief Secretary of Assam of Assam on Thursday. He replaced Jishnu Barua who retired from the serviced on Wednesday.
Borthakur was serving as the Chief secretary to the state Government in the transformation and development, cultural affairs, and Tourism departments.
Meanwhile, he is also the Chairman of Assam Administrative Tribunal.
