Assam government will refund the fees of candidates who fail to qualify in the ongoing recruitment exams for Grade III and Grade IV posts.

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarmaon Sunday (August 28) announced that the state government will refund the fees of candidates who fail to qualify in the ongoing recruitment exams for Grade III and Grade IV posts.

Around 14 lakh candidates have registered for the examinations for around 30,000 Grade III and Grade IV posts in various government departments.

The two rounds of the exams were held on August 21 and August 28. While the final round is scheduled to be held on September 11.

Speaking to the media, CM Sarma said, “The exams are being conducted without a problem at all examination centers across the state. No complaints of exam-related misconduct have been reported.”

“We will try to announce the results within one month. And candidates who fail to qualify for the exams will get back their fees. The fees will be returned to their respective bank accounts,” the Chief Minister added.

“We will keep the fees of only those candidates who pass the exams,” he further said.
