Today, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi, extending an invitation for the Prime Minister to visit the state and unveil a series of projects.
CM Sarma took to social media platform X to share details of his meeting with the PM. During the encounter, the Assam CM invited PM Modi to visit Assam and participate in the groundbreaking ceremonies and inaugurations of several projects. This includes laying the foundation stone for the Kamakhya corridor project, inaugurating the Tinsukia Medical College, laying the foundation for the Sivasagar Medical College, and dedicating the grand statue of Bir Lachit Borphukan in Jorhat.
Furthermore, CM Sarma noted consulting with PM Modi about the planning of the Assam Business Summit in 2024. He underscored their objective to establish it as a platform for attracting private investment and hastening the economic development of Assam.
CM Sarma wrote, “I had the privilege to call upon Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi ji today. Shared Assam’s immense gratitude for his continuous guidance & leadership and briefed him on the ongoing pro-people programs during our interaction”.
