Heavy shower in Guwahati since October 4, wednesday night, triggered flash flood in several parts of city. Commuters had a tough time to reach their destination as they waded through the flood water.
Anil Nagar, Nabin Nagar, Rukminigaon are the worst affected area, the continuous downpour has inundated streets and created additional challenges for residents
The city has been receiving rainfall since last Saturday. The rains on Saturday caused artificial flooding in almost all parts of the city. which led to severe traffic congestion. Commuters were stranded for several hour, and face many problem as their vehicle got stuck in the flood water.
Several areas of Guwahati city, specially Anil Nagar and Naveen Nagar, have been facing the problem of artificial floods since time immemorial. But till date there has been no solution to their problem.
