Assam Cabinet Minister Pijush Hazarika said that the Congress party will manage to win only one constituency in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections next year.

Hazarika dismissed Bora and other Congress leaders’ statements as pure fantasy, asserting that the BJP is expected to secure 14 Lok Sabha seats in the upcoming year, while the Congress will likely win only one constituency. He also mentioned that the Congress and another party together are projected to win two Lok Sabha seats.

Hazarika said to the media, “Bhupen Bora can say anything. But Congress will win only one constituency. I can’t say which one. They can secure victory in one constituency out of 12 in Assam and cannot win anywhere else. They are all speaking out of pure fantasy. We will all get the election results by May”.

“BJP will win in 12 constituencies. And two parties will share two seats among themselves. One is the Congress and the other will go to another party. This is the truth”, he added.

Hazarika responded to the Raijor Dal party’s ongoing public outreach led by party chief Akhil Gogoi, aimed at connecting with voters in the state.

In response to the Raijor Dal’s outreach initiative, Hazarika mentioned that the public knows Raijor Dal as a party centred around one individual, Akhil Gogoi. He added that, aside from Gogoi, people are unfamiliar with anyone else from the party.
