Assam Weather Update: The India Meteorological Department has forecast heavy rain in Assam for the next three to four days.
Heavy rain, thunderstorms, and hailstorms are expected in the state from March 15-18, according to the department.
It should be noted that the Central Meteorological Department (CMD) recently released data indicating that rainfall in Assam has decreased by 76%. The rainfall in January and February was approximately 76% less than normal.

Furthermore, rainfall has decreased by 100% in several parts of Assam as per reports.
Rainfall has decreased by 53% in Arunachal Pradesh, 98% in Manipur, 98% in Meghalaya, 100% in Mizoram, 100% in Nagaland, and 100% in Tripura, in addition to Assam.

Rain, thunderstorms, and hail may befall Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, and Manipur.
Heavy rain may fall in isolated areas across Arunachal Pradesh.
Showers and thunderstorms with hail are possible in Mizoram, Tripura, Sikkim, and Madhya Maharashtra.

Over the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Gangetic West Bengal, Odisha, Jharkhand, and Bihar, isolated rains with a chance of lightning are possible.
Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Saurashtra, Kutch, Konkan, Goa, Marathawada, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Karnataka, Kerala, and Mahe are some of the states that are included.
Over Saurashtra and Kutch, heatwave conditions are expected.

Pretty widespread rains along with thunderstorms or hail may clobber Sikkim, Marathawada, Vidarbha, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam and Telangana.
Scattered showers accompanied by thunderstorms or hail may happen over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Gangetic West Bengal, Odisha, Jharkhand, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu-Kashmir, Ladakh, Madhya Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Rayalaseema, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, North and South Interior Karnataka, Kerala and Mahe.
