Amid the flood situation in Assam, the government of Assam has decided to preponed Summer vacation. Education minister Ranuj Pegu stated that the government school will remained closed from 25 June to 25 July.
The government of Assam took the decision due to the flood situation in Assam. An assessment by the state government of the school affected by the flood water make the department take the decision. Alos in many district in Assam school have turned into flood relief camp and shelters.
“To compensate the same, the government in the secondary education department has decided to reschedule the summer vacation in all Elementary school, Senior Secondary and Higher secondary school from 25-06-2022 to 25-07-2022 instead of 01-07-2022 to 31-07-2022” an official notification read.
