Rangia, Assam: On March 26, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma announced a slew of projects in Rangia, providing a significant infrastructure boost to the region.
As part of the cabinet’s commitment to invest Rs 10,000 crore in the fiscal year 2023-2024, CM Sarma laid foundation stones for several projects totaling Rs 545.19 crore in Rangia.
CM Sarma began the day by laying the groundwork for a four-lane link road that will connect Rangia to NH-31.

Taking to Twitter, CM Sarma wrote, “Today we are observing “A Day Dedicated to Development”. I am happy to have kickstarted it by inaugurating a 4-lane link road that will connect Rangia to NH-31. Our Govt is committed to invest over ₹10,000 cr in FY 2023-2024 to create world-class infrastructure in Assam”.

He further wrote “I had the pleasure of dedicating a state of the art 47-bed ICU at Rangiya Model Hospital. Assam is witnessing a silent revolution in healthcare. We are determined to bring quality healthcare infrastructure closer to our towns and villages. ”

Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma also wrote “Health & Education are the front wheels of Assam’s developmental journey. I had the pleasure of inaugurating a post-graduation block at Rangiya College, upgrading it to a PG institution. With this, fewer students will have to leave home for studies.”

Assam CM inaugurated and laid foundation stones for projects worth over ₹1,031.68 as part of the ‘Fortnight for Development’ initiative in the Lakhimpur district. The upcoming bridge over the Subansiri river at Ghunasuti will fulfill the long-pending aspirations of the people of the district.
Himanta Biswa Sarma inaugurated 13 and laid foundation stones for 13 projects worth ₹1,031.68 cr in the Lakhimpur district.

As part of ‘Fortnight for Development’ initiative Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma laid foundation stones and inaugurated projects worth ₹894 cr in the Majuli district. Also distributed cheques to families affected by land acquisition for road construction. During a programme, Sarma stated that projects worth Rs 40,000 crore would be inaugurated or launched in various districts over the next few months.
