During the cabinet session held in Tinsukia district, the Assam Government granted approval on Friday for welfare projects totaling almost Rs. 100 crores across different areas within the Dibrugarh Lok Sabha constituency.
To accelerate development in Tinsukia, the state government has allocated Rs. 50 crore for enhancing the aesthetics of the Tinsukia District Stadium. Additionally, under the Tinsukia Legislative Assembly Constituency (LAC), the state government has granted approval for the following projects:
1. Multi-level car parking in Thana Chariali
2. ISBT near Tinsukia by-pass
3. Logistic hub with modern truck terminal
4. Flyover near Tinsukia Medical College
5. Development of Bordoloi Nagar Park
6. Construction of underpass in Rongagora Road and 4-lane crossing
7. Development and strengthening of Tinsukia Flyover near Napukhuri, Tinsukia
In Chabua Legislative Assembly Constituency (LAC), the state government has approved for the widening, reinforcement, and enhancement of the road stretching from Court Tiniali to the DC office to Guru Teg Bahadur School. This includes the implementation of drainage systems for Borguri Industrial Park.
In the Doomdooma Legislative Assembly Constituency (LAC), the state government has granted approval for various projects, including the construction of a Sports Complex-cum-Stadium at Doomdooma College, an Indoor Stadium-cum-Multipurpose Building at Doomdooma Town Field, an RCC Bridge over Doomdooma river, and a Road overbridge in Doomdooma town.
The state government has also given its nod for the improvement and reinforcement of roads, including the stretch from Margherita to Changlang Gate connecting Changlang District HQ (8km), Margherita to Namtok Gate (now in Arunachal Pradesh). Additionally, the construction of the Jagun Kathasema-Tekeri Brahmajan Road, complete with a bridge over the Buridehing River, has been approved under Margherita Legislative Assembly Constituency (LAC).
In the Digboi Legislative Assembly Constituency (LAC), the state government has granted approval for various projects, including the construction of a multipurpose center and indoor stadium with a swimming pool in Tingrai. Additionally, approvals have been given for the implementation of drainage systems for the 2km stretch from Digboi Chariali to Borbil and the construction of a master drain in Makum town.
Additionally, the state government has given its approval for several projects under Sadiya Legislative Assembly Constituency (LAC), including the establishment of the Bir Lachit Stadium at Chapakhowa, an indoor stadium with a swimming pool at Kakopather, the development of Bura-Buri Than, the construction of a Bhupen Hazarika statue-cum-park near Bhupen Hazarika Setu, and the electrification of Amarpur through the grid.
