Kedarnath Dham reopens to pilgrims today, April 25, after closing its Kapat on October 26 last year. However, due to severe rain and snowfall, registrations for the Kedarnath Yatra have been halted in Haridwar and Rishikesh. However, Uttarakhand DGP Ashok Kumar has stated that pilgrims are now permitted to enter the Kedarnath Dham due to improved weather conditions.

The doors of the sacred temple were opened today, April 25, 2023, at 06:30 AM, with a special pooja. The priests of Ukhimath’s Omkareshwar Temple set the opening date and time of the Kedarnath shrine based on the Panchang, and the date was declared on Mahashivratri.
