Rahul Gandhi in London: Senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has escalated his criticism of the Narendra Modi government, claiming that the BJP wants India to be “silent” and that there is “suppression of voice” throughout the country. In addition to emphasizing that the Congress is in talks with other Opposition parties, Gandhi stated that the party has some interesting ideas for bringing the Opposition together and does not want to ruin the surprise now.
Rahul Gandhi of the Congress has hit back at the BJP over allegations that he “defamed” India abroad, claiming that it was Prime Minister Narendra Modi who did so by undermining the country’s achievements since independence. Following his address at his alma mater Cambridge University, the BJP accused Mr Gandhi of maligning India abroad in the aftermath of repeated electoral defeats.

Former Congress President Rahul Gandhi, who is on a 10-day visit to the United Kingdom, is set to deliver an address in the British Parliament today, according to sources. Mr Gandhi’s visit has already ruffled feathers in India, with the BJP accusing him of ‘defaming India’ abroad following his speech at his alma mater, Cambridge University. The Wayanad MP, on the other hand, retorted that it was Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s fault for undermining the country’s achievements since independence.

Mr Gandhi will deliver an address in the UK Parliament in the Grand Committee Room of the Palace of Westminster on March 6, in order to “embrace the cultural, social and business ties that bind both countries as the people are the living bridge”.
Rahul Gandhi met with Indians living in the country last night and is scheduled to hold private business meetings today. He will also speak at the Chatham House think tank in London.
