On Thursday, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla confirmed that he has approved the resignations of nine Lok Sabha MPs.
Among them Union ministers Narendra Singh Tomar and Prahlad Patel are two of the nine BJP MPs who resigned after the saffron won in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Chattisgarh.
The BJP-affiliated Members of Parliament submitted their resignations following victories in the recent assembly elections.
Apart from Union ministers Narendra Singh Tomar and Prahlad Patel, the additional Lok Sabha MPs who resigned include Rakesh Singh, Udya Pratap Singh, and Riti Pathak from Madhya Pradesh, along with Diya Kumari and Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore from Rajasthan.
Gomati Sai and Arun Sao from Chhattisgarh also resigned. Additionally, Rajya Sabha MP Kirodi Lal Meena tendered his resignation.
