Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has ordered the removal of loudspeakers from all religious institutions in the country’s largest state. State Additional Director General of Police Prashant Kumar has reported in the media that 10923 loudspeakers have been removed from 12 administrative circles in the state till Wednesday following a high court order.
It may be recalled that the highest number of 2395 mics have been removed in the capital city of Lucknow.
