‘World’s Best Cuisine Awards 2022’: Shahi Paneer Among Top 50, India Ranks 5th In World’s Best Cuisines

TasteAtlas’ World’s Best Cuisine Awards 2022 ranked Indian cuisine fifth, with 4.54 out of five-star ratings. The best-rated food in India is “garam masala, ghee, malai, butter garlic naan, keema, and 460 more,” according to the Bulgaria-based food website.

Italian cuisine topped the list of the world’s best cuisines, with Greek cuisine coming in second, Spanish cuisine coming in third, and Japanese cuisine coming in fourth.

Only Shahi Paneer from India made it under the top 50 list of the world’s best ‘traditional’ dishes, ranking 28th.

In TasteAtlas’ world’s best dishes, Shahi Paneer from Delhi’s Kake Da Hotel received 4.66 stars out of 5 stars. Shahi paneer, a cheese curry from Mughal cuisine, is made with paneer, onions, almond paste, and a rich, spicy tomato-cream sauce. “The dish is typically served with Indian breads such as naan, roti, or puri,” according to the food website.

Gulati’s Butter Chicken in New Delhi, on the other hand, came in 53rd place with 4.56 ratings. Dastarkhwan’s Lucknow Korma was ranked 55th out of the world’s best 100 ‘traditional’ dishes. Vindaloo of Venite in Goa ranked 71st on the global list, while Hyderabadi Biryani (by ITC Kohenur) ranked 71st.

Kare (Japan), Picanha (Brazil), Ameijoas a Bulhao Pato (Portugal), Tangbao (China), and Guotie (China) are the top five “Best Traditional Dishes” in the world according to TasteAtlas’ list 2022.

As per TasteAtlas ranking, the best traditional restaurants to try out Indian cuisines are-Shree Thaker Bhojanalay (Mumbai), Karavalli (Bangalore), Bukhara (New Delhi), Dum Pukht (Delhi), Comorin (Gurugram), Girimanja’s (Mangaluru), Kinara Dhaba Village (Waksai), Annalakshmi (Chennai), Mavalli Tiffin Rooms (Bangalore) and 450 others.
