Zubeen’s first composition, ‘Gaane ki Aane’, displayed his lyrical talent at the age of only 13. Yet, it was ‘Ya Ali Rahem Wali’ from the 2006 film Gangster that brought him National recognition, earning awards at Stardust, IIFA and Filmfare.
In a span of 30 years, Zubeen has recorded 35,000 songs in 40 languages, showcasing his versatility in singing, songwriting, playing instruments and composing poems. Recognising its originality and positivity people acknowledge Zubeen’s early music as reminiscent of Assam’s cultural icon Dr. Bhupen Hazarika.
Beyond his artistic contributions, Zubeen is praised for his kindness, frequently aiding fans in times of need. His words, art and music serve as inspiration for the younger generation, showcasing the profound impact of Assam’s cultural figures.
