The two new minister Nandita Gorlosa and Jayanta Malla baruah were sworn-in in a ceremony held at Srimanta Sankardev Kalakshetra Guwahati today.
This was the first cabinet expansion of the Himanta Biswa Sarma-led government which completed one year in office last month.
Governor Jagdish Mukhi administered the oath of office to the new ministers in presence of Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma.
Portfolios have also been allocated to the newly inducted ministers. Haflong MLA Nandita Gorlosa has been assigned the Power department, cooperation department, mines and minerals department, and indigenous and tribal faith and culture department.
Meanwhile, Jayanta Malla Baruah takes charge of PHE, skill, employment and entrepreneurship department, and tourism.
