The Suryakiran Aerobatic Team (SKAT) of the Indian Air Force (IAF) is preparing to put on a beautiful show in the skies over Guwahati on September 27. The IAF’s Suryakiran aerobatic team has scheduled an air showcase for September 27 at Lachit Ghat in Guwahati, Assam.
The event will take place on September 27 at 10 a.m. at the Lachit Ghat in Guwahati, Assam.
The Suryakiran aerobatic team is also known as the IAF Ambassadors.
The team is currently stationed at the Tezpur Air Force Station. Wing Commander Rupam Bardoloi, from Guwahati, is also a member of the squadron.

On 27th May 1996 we came into existence as The Suryakiran Aerobatic Team.

What is IAF’s Suryakiran aerobatic team?
Surya Kiran is an aerobatics demonstration team of the Indian Air Force. The SKAT was established in 1996 and is part of the IAF’s 52nd Squadron.
The team is unique in that it is one of only nine aircraft formation Aerobatic teams in the world.

Since then, the team has given numerous demonstrations, usually with nine aircraft. Until 2011, the squadron was made up of HAL HJT-16 Kiran Mk.2 military trainer aircraft and was based at the Bidar Air Force Station in Karnataka. The team was suspended in February 2011 and re-established in 2017 with Hawk Mk-132 aircraft.

On 18th September, The Indian Air Force (IAF) put on a spectacular aerobatic display over the Bay of Bengal. The Suryakiran Aerobatic Team of the Eastern Air Command performed an aerobatic display of the Blue Flag Beach in Puri, Odisha.
