Entries and exits will be different: There will be separate entry gates for women and men.

Use Biodegradable idol: Authorities have also requested not to use any non-biodegradable items for decoration. Every year the Brahmaputra river gets polluted severely because of idol immersion. The locations listed for Durga puja idol immersion are Sunsali ghat, Chandrapur, Basistha Ghat, Saukuchi Ghat, Kasomari Ghat, and Pandu Ghat, and Dharapur.

Another guideline is not to use loud music after 10 pm. If found guilty then a fine will be issued by the authorities.

An adequate number of volunteers should be recruited for the Puja Committee. To assist in traffic control and security. CCTV camera is mandatory in every pandal.

Fire extinguishers should be kept in stock at the puja mandap. A sufficient amount of water and sand will be required. High-quality electrical wires are to be avoided to control short circuits.
