Due to incessant rain since Tuesday night river and water bodies across across Dima Hasao district have been swelling up causing floods in several parts of the district while fresh landslide have occurred snapping surface communication in the district.
Tragic incident happen in Maibang where Darjon Thaosen age 54 was wash away while crossing a river on Wednesday afternoon.
Body of Darjon Thaosen was found on Thursday afternoon along Mahur river near purana Maibang under Maibang police Station.
The villager saw the body and informed the police. His body is sent to Haflong Civil Hospital for autopsy.
