Assam: Cotton University officially enrols for CUET-UG, making it the first state university in Assam to do so. Cotton University has formally entered the CUET-UG programme.
Students can apply for the courses through CUET registration, which includes a variety of B.A. and B.Sc courses.
Students pursuing their Bachelor’s degree and wishing to attend Cotton University must now apply through CUET.

The Cotton University (CU), Guwahati, has become the first state university in Assam to join the National Testing Agency’s Common University Entrance Test (CUET), which is held at the all-India level for university admissions (NTA).
Even though other leading universities in the state, such as Gauhati University (GU), have yet to discuss the matter at the highest level, the CU executive council has given the varsity’s executive council (EC) the much-needed approval to join CUET.

“Official formalities to link the university with the CUET admission mechanism will be completed soon. Unless the state government changes its mind, all students who want to join CU will take the CUET “On Tuesday, said media sources.
Students from all over the country are enrolling in the ongoing CUET-UG 2023, which began on Thursday. The registration period will last until March 12.

At the UG level, the university offers various courses, ranging from B.Sc. under ten specializations, B.A. with 13 specializations, and a BCA degree for a duration of three years.

Cotton University Ph.D. Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for admission, the candidates must possess the following qualifications-
- Master’s degree in a relevant field with a minimum of 50% marks.
- A valid NET/SLET score.
Cotton University Ph.D. Selection Criteria
An entrance exam will be used to select candidates. The exam will include short, medium, and long answer questions.
INSPIRE candidates’ interviews may be accelerated in order for them to be admitted within the fellowship validity dates.
