The Assam police have busted a gang of vehicle thieves in Guwahati. based on the specific inputs the Guwahati Police conducted raid in the area and arrested two car lifters.
The special operation was launched jointly by a team of Geetanagar Police and Special Investigation Cell.
Meanwhile, the arrested duo has been identified as Deep Roy and Debajit Bhattacharya.
According to the sources the car gang used to buy car from the owners in pretext of paying in EMI, and they sell the car to the neighbouring state of Nagaland and Arunachal.
