Chief Minister of Assam, Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma expressed in front of the media that he openly does politics for the Hindus.
On November 18, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma openly expressed his involvement in politics for Hindus. Sarma clarified that the term “Hindu” encompasses an inclusive aspect within the framework of Indian identity, emphasising his dedication to the principles of ‘Sabka Saath, Saabka Vikas’ and ‘Sarva Dharma Sambhav.’
Sarma questioned, “What’s the issue with engaging in politics for Hindus when Hindu is Bharatiya?”
This statement follows Sarma’s previous comments on November 15, where he criticised Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel over his alleged connection to the Mahadev betting app case. Sarma accused Baghel of being involved in a scandal, asserting, “He engaged in a scam by labelling the app as Mahadev. He could have chosen Bhupesh or used my name, Himanta, but they opted for Mahadev”.
Sarma cautioned Baghel, stating, “Now, Mahadev will not spare him and will take account of every penny. Bhupesh ji, your time has arrived to be answerable, and you must be”.
Sarma also posted on Social Media X, “मैं खुलके हिंदू के लिये राजनीति करता हूँ।”
