The Karbi People, who inhabit the Northeast Indian state of Assam’s East and West Karbi Anglong districts and other districts, celebrate the Karbi Youth Festival every year. Occasionally, other tribes and states in the region also participate. It is regarded as India’s oldest ethnic celebration. Karbi Cultural Society (KCS) is in charge of organising it. It is known as “Karbi Riso-Nimso Rong Aje” locally.
The event, which is an important attraction for young Karbis, will be held at the Karbi People’s Hall in Taralangso, Diphu, from January 12 to January 19, 2024.
