Tendulkar is widely recognized as one of the best batsmen in cricket history, having set and broken numerous records during his remarkable 24-year career.

Tendulkar will always remember the Skating and Curling Club ground in Toronto. After batting an unbeaten 89 from 89 balls in a winning cause against Pakistan, he received his first ‘Man of the Match’ award as captain.

- Sachin Tendulkar became the first batsman in international cricket history to surpass 30,000 runs in a test match against Sri Lanka on November 20, 2009. He went on to score 34,357 runs in international cricket across all forms (Test, ODI, and T20I). To date, no other player has accomplished this feat.
2. Sachin Tendulkar is the first and only batsman to have amassed 18,000 runs in one-day internationals. On March 24, 2011, he accomplished the feat during the 2011 World Cup quarter-final match against Australia in Ahmedabad.
3.The Indian superstar is also the first and only batsman in Test cricket history to score 15,000 runs. He accomplished this accomplishment against the West Indies in the first of his final test series in 2013.
4. Ramesh Tendulkar, his father, was a Marathi novelist. After finishing his studies, he worked as a lecturer at Kirti College in Prabhadevi in the 1960s.
Tendulkar is the youngest of four siblings, the others being two elder brothers and an older sister.
5. Tendulkar appeared as a substitute fielder for Pakistan in a practise match at the Brabourne Stadium in 1988. He was summoned to field for the visiting squad when Pakistan cricketers Javed Miandad and Abdul Qadir exited the field during the lunch break.
