Microsoft: The Assam Skill Development Mission (ASDM) signed contracts with Microsoft, and Google India Pvt. Limited, and Larsen & Toubro Limited.
The Assam government signed seven Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with top multinational corporations (MNCs) on Tuesday at Guwahati’s Janata Bhawan.
The Assam CM described the initiative as a “momentous occasion,” noting that it will realise the dream of a developed Assam in line with the vision of Hon’ble Prime Minister – Narendra Modi to transform the Northeast into a “New Growth Engine” to power Atmanirbhar Bharat.

The agreements were signed on behalf of the government by the Assam Skill Development Mission (ASDM).
In the presence of Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and other state ministers and senior officials, the Directorate of Employment and Craftsmen Training signed an MoU with Info Edge (India), better known as Naukri.com.

The Assam Tourism Development Corporation signed agreements with the Union Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, as well as the Tata Community Initiative Trust and the Indian Hotels Company’s TATA Strive Skill Development Initiatives.
Similarly, Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) were signed between the Directorate of Employment and Craftsmen Training (DECT) and Info Edge, better known as Naukri.com.
The Assam Tourism Development Corporation (ATDC) has entered into a collaboration agreement with Tata STRIVE, Assam Power Distribution Corporation Limited (APDCL), and SGEL, a subsidiary of Satluj Jal Vidyut Nigam (SJVN).
The Assam Tourism Development Corporation Limited (ATDCL), the Indian Hotels Company Limited, Tata STRIVE’s Skill Development Initiative of Tata Community Initiative Trust (TCIT), and the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (MSDE) have agreed to collaborate to establish a state-of-the-art residential training facility at the Omeo Kumar Das Institute of Social Change & Development (OKD Institue).
Microsoft will provide intervention for underserved youths through its MDSP (Microsoft Diversity Skilling Programme) modules to ensure their active participation in the workforce.
The MoU with Google India aims to assist the government of Assam in equipping youth with job-ready digital and business skills. The Google Career Certificate Course will connect skilled youths to job opportunities through a cohort of potential employers.
