T20 World Cup: Pakistan beat New Zealand by 7 wickets in the first semi-final in Syndey to enter the final. Pakistan defeated New Zealand in the T20 World Cup final on Wednesday, securing a place in the final. Chasing a 152-run target, Pakistan received a massive boost when openers Mohammad Rizwan (57) and Babar Azam (53) returned to run-scoring as the team won by 7 wickets in Sydney. With 5 balls remaining, Pakistan chased down a 152-run target.

 

Apart from Mitchell, the other main contributors with the bat for New Zealand were Kane Williamson (46 off 42) and Devon Conway (21 off 20), who chose to bat first after winning the toss.

On the other hand, with 2/24, Shaheen Afridi was Pakistan’s most successful bowler, and Mohammad Nawaz (1/12) was the other wicket-taker.
