Following a dominant performance in the Vijay Hazare Trophy, the Assam cricket team is working hard in preparation for the Ranji season. On December 13, Assam will face Saurashtra at the ACA Stadium in Guwahati.
The tournament will provide a valuable opportunity for a large number of homegrown cricketers to make their names, as well as veterans such as Ajinkya Rahane. Cheteshwar Pujara has a chance to restore their Test career. Ranji Trophy returns after a long period of inactivity. Nineteen matches will begin on the first day of the regular season.
It’s time to shift the mode – from White to Red. 🏏

Suryakumar Yadav, the star Indian batter, will be able to play for Mumbai in the upcoming Ranji Trophy 2022-23 beginning December 20, according to ESPNCricinfo. The in-form T20I batter, who has been rested for the ongoing ODI series against Bangladesh, will play against Hyderabad in the second round. Ajinkya Rahane, an Indian Test veteran, will captain the team in the upcoming Ranji Trophy.
Saikia was recently appointed joint secretary of the national cricket board (BCCI). On Saturday, he stated that the performance of the Kunal Saikia-led state team in the tournament, in which they reached the semifinals, justified the former council’s decision to relay the wickets in Assam during the Covid-19-induced nationwide lockdown in 2020.
