Jadeja become the new No.1 allrounder in ICC Test rangking

Ravindra Jadeja is the new No.1 allrounder in Test Cricket, after his epic display with the bat and ball in Mohali, against Sri Lanka. Jadeja scored 175 runs not out and took a match haul of nine-wicket to help India to an inning victory over Sri Lanka and replaced west Indies Jason Holder at the top of the ranking. Holder was on the top spot since February 2021.

This is not the first time Jadeja reach the top spot of allrounder, but in 2017 he was in the No.1 spot for a week in August. Coming in No.7 after India had got to 228 for 5, Jadeja batted 228 for his unbeaten 175, which include 17 fours and 3 sixes. He strung together a century stand with R.Ashwin before India declared on574 for 8.
Holder is now at the second spot while Ashwin moved down to the third spot.
