Guwahati to host the 1st ODI between India and Sri Lanka: Guwahati will kick off the New Year with a bang, which is great news for cricket fans. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has scheduled the first one-day international (ODI) match between India and Sri Lanka for January 10, 2023, at the Assam Cricket Association (ACA) stadium in Barsapara.

The date for the match’s ticket sales, however, had yet to be announced.

Following the conclusion of the ongoing away series against Bangladesh, the Indian team will play three consecutive home games against Sri Lanka, New Zealand, and Australia.

The Indian team will play three T20Is and three ODIs against Sri Lanka before hosting three ODIs and three T20Is against New Zealand.

Then, India will turn its attention to Test cricket, hosting Australia in a four-match Test series.

India last hosted a Border-Gavaskar series in 2017. The red ball battle will begin on February 9 and will last until March 13.

The Indian cricket board (BCCI) announced on Wednesday that India’s blockbuster home season will begin on January 3. The Asian giants will play limited-overs series against Sri Lanka and New Zealand before facing Australia in four Tests and three one-day internationals in February and March.

India kicks off the New Year with a three-match T20I series against Sri Lanka, which begins on January 3.

The T20I series will be played in Mumbai, Pune, and Rajkot, while the ODI series will be played in Guwahati, Kolkata, and Trivandrum from January 10 to 15.

There will be little time between the two series because India’s ODI series against a visiting New Zealand side begins on January 18 in Hyderabad. The remaining two ODIs will be played in Raipur and Indore.
