Amul joins forces with Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo ahead of the 2022 World Cup. Amul has signed a regional partnership agreement with the Portugal national team for the FIFA World Cup 2022. This comes on the heels of the brand partnering with the Argentina national team as a regional partner for the tournament.
The Portuguese Football Federation and AMUL have agreed to a regional sponsorship agreement that will run until the end of 2023. Amul thus becomes the Portuguese Football Federation’s first Indian regional sponsor.

Fans and customers of dairy products in India will now be able to obtain original Amul products imprinted with the images of Portugal’s national team players. This collaboration reflects the glide path and international scope of the Portugal Football Federation, as well as the significance and recognition of a historic brand, Amul.
Amul will thus serve as the Indian community’s ambassador company with the Portugal national team.

Another proud moment and significant step forward for an Indian brand in global football occurred in March 2022, when Edtech BYJU’S was named the first Indian firm to be named as a sponsor of the upcoming FIFA World Cup in 2022. Byju’s announced earlier this month that it had signed football star Lionel Messi as the first global brand ambassador of its social impact arm ‘Education For All.’
