Assam’s Uma Chetry part of Indian Women’s National Cricket team to face Bangladesh

Assam’s promising female cricketer Uma Chetry has made it to the Indian Women's National Cricket Team announced by the women selection committee of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) for the upcoming T20 and ODI Bangladesh series.

Assam’s promising female cricketer Uma Chetry has made it to the Indian Women’s National Cricket Team announced by the women selection committee of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) for the upcoming T20 and ODI Bangladesh series.

Wicket-keeper batter Uma Chetry, who hails from Assam’s Bokakhat became first female cricketer from Assam to get selected in the Indian Women’s National Cricket Team.

“This is for the 1st time, anyone from the state has been selected for the senior national side,” Assam Cricket Association said.
