Vikas Walker, Shraddha Walker’s father, briefed the media on his daughter’s tragic murder at the hands of Aaftab Poonawala. Shraddha’s live-in partner was Aaftab Poonawala. He strangled and murdered her. He then cut her into 35 pieces and scattered them throughout the capital. The murder of Shraddha Walker has become one of the most talked-about and investigated cases in recent memory.

Shraddha Walker’s father, Vikas Walkar, met Maharashtra deputy chief minister Devendra Fadnavis at his residence in Mumbai on Friday (December 9) in connection with the ongoing Shraddha murder case.

“My daughter was brutally murdered, and I faced many problems as a result of the Vasai police; if they had helped me, my daughter would still be alive,” Vikas Walker said.

“Delhi Police assured us that we would receive justice, as did Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis,” he added.

In a statement to the media, he stated that Fadnavis assured him that he would receive justice. Kirit Somaiya of the BJP was also present as Shraddha Walker’s father met with Fadnavis.

Vikas allegedly lost contact with Shraddha after his objection to her relationship with Aaftab and was unaware that she had moved to Delhi with Aaftab. Vikas Walker contacted the police after Shraddha’s friend informed him that Shraddha’s phone had been unresponsive for months.

Shraddha filed the complaint with the cops after Aftab beat her up in the flat they shared, claiming that his family was aware of his violent behavior, according to Delhi police sources. According to the local police, Shraddha later gave another written statement stating that “we no longer have any quarrel” after speaking with his parents and requesting that no action be taken. Aaftab’s parents are in Delhi, as is one of her coworkers, Karan, whom she informed about the assault.

But the couple, who met on a dating app and began dating around 2019, did not appear to break up, despite the fact that the 2020 complaint claims he’d been assaulting and “blackmailing” her with murder threats for “six months.” They were both call centre employees who had relocated to Delhi in May of this year.
