Nilanjan Dutta, a member of SFI Tripura, successfully reached Everest’s base camp. The team is pleased with him. He told himself how he had overcome the difficulties. This 24-year-old Tripura University student is also a photographer, biker, and mountaineer. Despite being specially-abled, recently made an expedition to the base camp of Everest (Everest Base Camp). The SFI leadership praised Nilanjan’s struggle and gave him the title of ‘Complete Student’.

Nilanjan Dutt, of Tripura’s Kalyanpur district, lost both of his hands in a tragic childhood accident. However, no adversity could stop him. He has always been interested in motorcycles. He also enjoys sports and photography. As a result, he went out on the road with a bike and a camera after overcoming the obstacles.

“In 2004, out of curiosity, I accidentally put my hand on a transformer,” Nilanjan Dutta said of his life story. Due to an electric shock, I lost both of my hands. I received treatment in Kolkata. But both of my hands are gone. But I never saw this as a hindrance. With this, I completed my high school and college studies. And I will never let my desires die. I kept up my passion for biking and photography.”

He further said, “I joined SFI in 2017. Right after joining the organization, I understood why all students should come under the umbrella of this organization. Currently doing B.Ed from Tripura University. I will give one message to everyone, there will be obstacles and challenges in life. But, they must be conquered. And so we try to motivate students why SFI should be done, why not ABVP or any other organization.”
