Nagaland University (NU) To Conduct CUET Examinations From 2023

The University Grants Commission (UGC) has stated that beginning with the 2023 academic year, all students seeking admission to Undergraduate Programs, including Nagaland University, will be required to take the Common University Entrance Test (CUET).

“It is hereby notified for the information of all concerned that the University Grants Commission (UGC), Ministry of Education, Government of India has issued a circular (MO. F. 13-11/2020(CU» Dated 19 May 2022 that Central Universities of North-Eastern Regions, including Nagaland University, have been exempted from the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) for admission in the Undergraduate Programmes for the current academic session 2022-23,” UGC said in a

Nagaland University is a Central University that was founded in the state of Nagaland in 1989, with its headquarters in Lumami, Zünheboto District.

The University has two other permanent campuses: Meriema (near Kohima) and Medziphema. In addition, B.Tech courses are offered at a temporary campus in Dimapur.

It is worth noting that the NU is a Central University founded in 1989 by an Act of Parliament passed by the Government of India. Its headquarters are in the Zunheboto District of Lumami. The other campuses are located throughout the state in Kohima, Medziphema, and Dimapur.

The university is affiliated with 68 colleges, with a total student population of around 24,000 people.

At the university and college levels, courses in 43 disciplines are offered in M.A, M.Sc, M.Com, MBA, M.Ed, M.Sc (Agri.), B.Tech, B.Sc (Agri.), LL.B, B.Ed, B.Sc, B.A, B.Com, BBA, BCA, B.Sc (Nursing), and B.Voc.
