“The fire destroyed 15 of the Kutcha house unit’s rooms.” Properties worth lakhs of rupees, as well as several important documents belonging to the residing families, were destroyed,” a local told reporters.
The cause of the fire is still unknown.
On the other hand, a major fire broke out at a private drugs production firm in Ashok Nagar, north Chennai. The fire department was notified of the fire around 8:15 a.m., and several fire tenders were rushed to the scene. The flames were put out after two hours.
The massive fire consumed the entire structure, and several vehicles parked nearby were also charred. The area has been completely covered in the smock.
