A military helicopter crashed near Singging village in Arunachal Pradesh’s Itanagar district. Today, the helicopter crash site is 25 kilometres from the Tuting headquarters in the Upper Siang district. According to reports, the accident site is not accessible by road. However, rescue operations have begun, and teams are en route to the crash site. The cause of the crash is still unknown.
Notably, the crash claimed the lives of five people. Meanwhile, three bodies have been recovered and are being transported by army helicopters to Tuting headquarters.

On the other hand few days back, an Indian Army ALH (Cheetah) helicopter crashed at Nyamjang Chu near BTK area of Jemeithang circle, Tawang, during a routine sortie. On the other hand, Arunachal Pradesh is known for having some of the country’s most rough terrain. The most recent casualty is a young Lieutenant Colonel in the Indian Army.

On board were two pilots, Lt. Colonel Sourav Yadav and Major Mriddhul Agrawal.
Lt.Col Yadav died as a result of his injuries, and Major Agarwal was reportedly admitted to the Military Hospital in Lungla.
According to Defence PRO Lt. Colonel AS Walia, the cause of the crash is unknown at this time.

The same circumstances led to the death of former Chief Minister Dorjee Khandu in April 2011. He was the father of current Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu. Arunachal Chief Minister Dorjee Khandu was discovered dead in Luguthang, near the China border, five days after his helicopter went missing. Mr. Khandu boarded a Pawan Hans helicopter in Tawang, Arunachal Pradesh, on April 30, 2011.
