In less than a week since it was officially made available to the public, OpenAI’s ChatGPT, the artificial intelligence-powered chatbot that has gone viral, has surpassed one million users. Last Wednesday, ChatGPT was made available for public testing. In a tweet, Open CEO Sam Altman confirmed this. His post also drew questions about whether the company intends to keep ChatGPT free indefinitely, to which he responded that they “will have to monetize it somehow at some point,” and that the computing costs of running this are “eye-watering.”
ChatGPT is created by Open AI, Elon Musk’s AI research lab based in the United States. Because it has been trained on a large amount and variety of text, GPT stands for Generative Pre-trained Transformer.
ChatGPT has crossed 1M+ users in just 5 days.
To compare, it took Netflix 41 months, FB – 10 months, and Instagram – 2.5 months.
But many haven’t yet realized its full potential.
Here are the 10 mindblowing things you can do using it right now:

It generates human-like text in seconds in response to web browser prompts, ranging from poems to essays, emails to codes, film scripts to self-help tips. According to reports, it is more conversational and intuitive than existing models.
This week, a new OpenAI chatbot took the internet by storm, dashing off poems, screenplays, and essay responses that were plastered all over Twitter by the breathless technoratti. Though the underlying technology has been around for a while, this was the first time OpenAI made its powerful language-generation system GPT3 available to the public, sparking a race to give it creative commands.
Google crawls billions of web pages, indexes content, ranks it by relevance, and then returns a list of links to click. ChatGPT provides something more enticing: a single answer based on its own data search and synthesis. ChatGPT has been trained on millions of websites to learn not only how to hold a human-like conversation, but also how to gather information (stuff posted online before late 2021).
What is Open AI’s ChatGPT?
ChatGPT is an artificially intelligent chatbot developed by OpenAI Inc. and based on GPT-3.5. It is a language model that uses deep learning to produce human-like text and can respond to anything from stories, to mathematical solutions, and theoretical essays.
ChatGPT has a distinct memory; it can recall previous comments in a conversation and relay them to the user. This chatGPT can respond to anything from theoretical essay questions to mathematical solutions, as well as short questions and stories.
