India-China LAC Clash: Defence Minister Rajnath Singh convened a high-level meeting on Tuesday to discuss the India-China border conflict in Arunachal Pradesh. General Anil Chauhan, Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval, and the chiefs of all three armed forces-Army Chief General Manoj Pande, Navy Chief Admiral R Hari Kumar, and Air Chief Marshal VR Chaudhari-arrived at the Defence Minister’s Delhi residence for the meeting.
On December 9, Singh is expected to address the parliament about the India-China troops clash along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in Arunachal Pradesh’s Tawang sector.
The Congress and other opposition parties have been lobbying for a debate in Parliament on the border situation.

Last week, Indian and Chinese soldiers clashed along the contested Line of Actual Control (LAC) in Arunachal Pradesh’s Tawang sector, resulting in injuries on both sides, according to the Indian Army. The incident occurred on December 9, amid ongoing border tensions between the Indian Army and the Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA) in the sensitive Ladakh sector.
“PLA troops made contact with the LAC in the Tawang sector, which was fiercely contested by own troops.” “This confrontation resulted in minor injuries to a few personnel on both sides,” the army said in a statement. The army did not go into detail about the brawl, the number of troops involved, or the nature of the injuries sustained by the opposing soldiers.

The clash occurred in the Yangtse area of the Tawang sector, where Indian and Chinese soldiers clashed last year as well, according to officials familiar with the situation who asked not to be identified. Over 300 Chinese soldiers were stationed in the area where the latest incident occurred.
