Trump pleaded ‘not guilty’ to 34 felony counts of falsifying business documents after surrendering in a New York court. He was arrested, and his fingerprints were taken, but he did not appear to have taken a mug photo.

Trump brought himself in for a historic court appearance in New York on Tuesday, under tight security and a global media frenzy, as the Republican billionaire became the first American president in history to face criminal charges.
The hearing, which is being broadcast live on television, marks a watershed moment for the US criminal and political systems, with the potential to upend the 2024 presidential election, in which Trump is presently the presumptive Republican contender.

The 76-year-old, who has pleaded not guilty to 34 criminal counts, was speaking to fans and the media from his Florida estate, Mar-a-Lago.
“I never believed anything like this could happen in America — never dreamed it could happen,” he added, adding that his “only fault is to boldly defend our nation from those who aim to destroy it.”
Trump, the Republican nominee for 2024, declared from a platform draped in American flags in an extravagant gold-and-cream ballroom that “radical left” prosecutors around the country were out to get him “at any cost.”
Former President Donald Trump, defiant, denounced the criminal charges brought against him in connection with hush money payments made to a porn star prior to the 2016 presidential election, saying the United States has now become a “failing nation” where “radical left lunatics” want to interfere with elections through law enforcement.
At his appearance in a Manhattan court on accusations related to hush money payments made to Stormy Daniels, Trump pleaded not guilty to 34 felony counts of falsifying company records.
