Bharat Jodo Yatra:  Thursday marks the 16th day of the Congress’ Bharat Jodo Yatra. Bharat Jodo Yatra began at Sonaram Ground in Guwahati and ended at the engineering ground in Chandmari. Senior Congressmen such as Bhupen Bora and Jitendra Singh took part in the yatra.

On Wednesday, the Congress ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’ passed through Jalukbari, the constituency of Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, on its 15th day in the northeastern state.


According to a party spokesperson, AICC general secretary Jitendra Singh joined the long march at Singimari Chowk in Hajo in the constituency, along with state party president Bhupen Bora, former Arunachal Pradesh chief minister Nabam Tuki, and party MPs Pradyut Bordoloi, Abdul Khaleque, and Gaurav Gogoi.

According to reports, the campaign took place in Guwahati for three days.

The march began at 10:30 a.m. on November 16 (Wednesday) from Singimari Chowk and end at noon in the Rajiv Bhawan at Amingaon.

It began at 10:30 a.m. on November 17 (Thursday) at the Sonaram High School grounds in Bharalamukh and ended at the Chandmari playground. This procession will pass through the Gauhati Club and Silpukhuri.

 

The Bharat Jodo Yatra-Assam began on November 18 (Friday) at the Chandmari playground and ended at the Bonda playground in Narengi.

The Assam leg of the campaign will pass through 13 of the state’s 33 districts and cover 834 kilometers in 70 days, culminating at Sadiya in the Tinsukia district in the state’s east.

The rally, part of a nationwide campaign to resurrect the grand old party, began in Golokganj, a town on the India-Bangladesh border, with senior party leaders in attendance. Jitendra Singh, Congress national general secretary-cum-in-charge of the Assam unit, APCC president Bhupen Kumar Borah, Lok Sabha MP Pradyut Bordoloi, and other senior leaders of the state unit were in attendance. “It is the Congress Party’s collective response to save the country and the state from the BJP’s divisive policies. We started the yatra in Golokganj and it will travel across Assam to Sadiya, the state’s easternmost point,” Borah explained.
