On Saturday, November 5, a massive fire broke out in a few shops on Fashion Street in South Mumbai’s Churchgate area. It is worth noting that firefighters rushed to the scene and extinguished the fire; however, a few shops on Fashion Street were destroyed in the incident.

According to the BMC, information about the fire in the shops on Fashion Street in Mumbai was received on Saturday, and fire tenders were dispatched to the scene. Fashion Street has been temporarily closed to traffic until the situation is stabilized, according to a tweet from Mumbai Traffic Police.

Images show thick black smoke billowing from the Fashion Street area as a result of the fire that engulfed several shops there. It’s worth noting that Fashion Street refers to a collection of street-side clothing stores on MG Road near Azad Maidan in South Mumbai.
“Six fire engines were rushed to the scene after the fire brigade was alerted about the incident,” the official said, adding that the blaze was extinguished in about 15 minutes.
