Jammu Kashmir Terror Attack: On Thursday, five Army soldiers were killed in a terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch area. Terrorists shot at the Army vehicle as it traveled from Bhimber Gali to Sangiot in the Poonch district, according to defense officials.
The truck was engulfed in flames, according to images from the scene, as Army and police forces sealed off the area. The Army jawans killed in the incident were from the Rashtriya Rifles Unit, which was assigned to the area for counter-terrorism operations.

Havildar Mandeep Singh, Lance Naik Debashish Baswal, Lance Naik Kulwant Singh, Sepoy Harkrishan Singh, and Sepoy Sewak Singh are the troops who died.

The outlawed terror organization Jaish-e-Mohammed affiliate PAFF (People’s Anti-Fascist Front) has claimed responsibility for the terror assault in Poonch, Jammu and Kashmir, on Thursday.
This comes after five jawans were killed when their Army vehicle caught fire after being fired on by terrorists on the Poonch-Jammu highway.

The event happened while the Army truck was traveling from Bhimber Gali to Sangiot in the Poonch district. Security troops conducted a huge search operation in the woodlands of Poonch’s Bata-Doriya district on Friday.

According to PTI, the area has been blocked off, and drones and sniffer dogs are being employed to track the terrorists.
According to Army reports, the servicemen were part of a convoy that was attacked by militants.
According to sources, the Jaish-backed terror group People’s Anti-Fascist Front (PAFF) has claimed responsibility for the attack.
According to reports, 50 shots were fired at the Army truck.
