India: YouTuber Hyojeong Park (Mhyochi) sexually harassed in live stream, 2 Arrested

Hyojeong Park, also known as Mhyochi by fans, was walking down the streets of Mumbai when she was attacked by two men. On Wednesday night, Mhyochi, a social media influencer, was dragged, kissed, and eve-teased by two men. Following the incident, Mumbai cops investigated and arrested two people for molesting the female influencer.

The accused is seen making advances, attempting to kiss the live streamer, and repeatedly asking her to sit on his bike in the viral video.

Following the virality of the video, two teenagers, Mobeen Chand Mohammad Shaikh and Mohammad Naqeeb Sadrealam Ansari, were arrested for allegedly molesting the YouTuber while live streaming. Both were arrested after Khar Police filed a FIR under Section 354 of the Indian Penal Code.

Who is YouTuber Hyojeong Park (Mhyochi)?

A video of the South Korean Twitch streamer Mhyochi, also known online as Mhyochi, misbehaving with two men went viral Tuesday evening. When she said she wasn’t dressed for a bike ride, one of the men tried to kiss her.

 

People began tagging Mumbai Police and demanding justice for the woman after the video of her being harassed by the man went viral. Mumbai Police took immediate action, arrested the two suspects, and charged them under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code.

Park has been regularly documenting her travels in Mumbai for her 12.3k Twitch followers. Her livestreams have over 25,000 views and show her interacting with people as she walks through Mumbai’s streets.
