Alphabet Inc’s Google was fined 936 crore ($113.04 million) on Tuesday as India wrapped up yet another antitrust investigation this month, finding the US tech firm guilty of exploiting its market position to advertise its payments app and in-app payment system.
Competition Commission of India (CCI) imposes a penalty of Rs 936.44 cr on Google for abusing its dominant position with respect to its Play Store policies, apart from issuing a cease-and-desist order.
