Name of organisation: India Meteorological Department (IMD)

Pay Scale: Level 6 of the Pay Matrix.

The Staff Selection Commission will conduct the examination in “Computer Based
Examination” (CBE) Mode in Hindi and English, on Pan India basis depending on
the number of applicants from different States and UTs. Call letters for the
Computer Based Examination will be uploaded on the websites of the Regional
Offices concerned of the Staff Selection Commission and a “Notice” about
information regarding Admit Card/ Admission Certificate will be provided on the
website of IMD.

Eligibility Criteria of SSC Recruitment

Nationality/ Citizenship: Candidates must be a citizen of India.

Age Limit: Candidate age must not exceeding 30 years as on 18-10-2022. Candidate must have been born not earlier than 19-10-1992 and not later than 17-10-2004.

Age Relaxation: The category-wise age relaxation is as mentioned below.

# SC/ ST: 5 years
# OBC: 3 years

# PwBD (Unreserved): 10 years
# PwBD (OBC): 13 years
# PwBD (SC/ST): 15 years

 

Educational Qualification for SSC Recruitment 2022: 
Bachelor’s Degree in Science (with Physics as one of the subject)/Computer Science/Information Technology/Computer Applications
OR
Diploma in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering from a recognized Institution/University or equivalent.

T&C I: The qualifying Degree or Diploma referred above should be in First Class (60% marks) or 6.75 CGPA on a 10 point scale.
T&C II: The qualifying Degree or Diploma referred above must be of three (3) years duration after (10+2) examination.
T&C III: The applicant must have passed 10+2 Examination from a Recognized Board or equivalent in Science with Physics and Mathematics as core subjects.

How to apply for SSC Recruitment 2022:

1. Applications must be submitted only in online mode at the website of SSC
Headquarter i.e. https://ssc.nic.in. For detailed instructions, please refer to
Annexure-III and Annexure-IV. Sample proforma of One-time Registration and
online Application Form are attached as Annexure-IIIA and Annexure-IVA
respectively.
2. In the online Application Form, candidates are required to upload the scanned
colour passport size photograph in JPEG format (20 KB to 50 KB). The
photograph should not be more than three months old from the date of
publication of the Notice of Examination for SSC Recruitment 2022.
3. Last date and time for submission of online applications is 18-10-2022 (23:00).
