Zubeen Garg Birthday: Zubeen Garg was born to Mohini Borthakur, better known as Kapil Thakur, and Ily Borthakur on Nov 18, 1971, in Tura. Zubeen Garg’s only Assamese film, Tumi Mor Matho Mor, was written, directed, and acted in 2000.
Zubeen Garg was the Rajat Kamal winner. The film received a National Award in 2007.

Garg is the founder of the Kalaguru Artiste Foundation, which raises funds for various charities. When devastating floods hit Assam, he urged people to donate clothes, medicines, and contributions.

Zubeen composed the music for the only Hindi film, Strings- Bound by Faith. While Shudhu Tumi is his only Bengali film, he directed the music.
Garg’s accomplishment as a music director can be seen when he won the 55th National Film Awards for “Best Music Direction” for the film “Echoes of Silence.” He was also nominated for a best music director for the film “Dinabandhu” at the 52nd National Film Awards.
In 2003, he made his debut in the Bengali music industry, singing two songs in the film Mon. The following year, he sang three songs in the film Shudhu Tumi and also served as its music director.
Zubeen starred in Mon Jai, the best Assamese film at the 56th National Film Awards.
