Sam Bahadur is based on the life of India’s first Field Marshal, Sam Manekshaw, and his four-decade career in the Indian Army during multiple wars. He was the first officer in the Indian Army to be promoted to the rank of Field Marshal, and his military victory in the 1971 Indo-Pak war resulted in the establishment of Bangladesh.

Vicky had previously shared photos from the film’s outdoor shoot in October after the team had completed a schedule. “With that, we conclude Sam Bahadur’s first outdoor schedule,” director Meghna said in the video, while Vicky said, “It’s a schedule wrap.”
