Tamannaah Bhatia will be 34 years old on December 21. The actress is best known for her work in South Indian films, but she has also appeared in a few Bollywood films. She was also a part of India’s biggest franchise, Baahubali, alongside Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty, and others. Her first break came when an agent saw her at her school’s annual day event and offered her a lead role. She then spent a year performing at Mumbai’s Prithvi Theatre. She won the female lead in Chand Sa Roshan Chehra at the age of 15; the film bombed, but her other films that year, Sri and Kedi, established her as a ‘one to watch’.

 

Tamannaah made her first on-screen appearance at the age of 14 in the Tamil film Ennakku 20 Unnakku 18 and her Bollywood debut at the age of 16 in the 2005 release ‘Chand Sa Roshan Chehra’.

She has appeared in an incredible 65 films in three languages since her debut in 2005. Ayan (2009), Paiyaa (2010), Siruthai (2011), Veeram (2014), Dharma Durai (2016), Devi (2016), Sketch (2018), 100% Love (2011), Racha (2012), Thadaka (2013), Baahubali: The Beginning (2015), Bengal Tiger (2015), Oopiri (2016), Baahubali 2: The Conclusion (2017), F2 — Fun and Frustration (2019), and Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy are some of her most notable works (2019).

 

Tamannaah is the daughter of diamond businessman Mr Santhosh and was born in a Sindhi family. Rajani Bhatia is her mother’s name, and Anand is her older brother.

 

In total, the actress has received 23 awards (including the prestigious “Dayawati Modi” Award in 2017), as well as an honorary doctorate from CIAC and KEISEI International University in South Korea for her contributions to Indian cinema. She’s also received 26 nominations, making her the first Indian actress to be nominated for a Saturn Award for Best Supporting Actress.

 

Tamanna decided to show her support for animal rights by posing for a PETA commercial in 2014. In the ad, Tamanna is seen holding a rescued rabbit called Tiny next to the message, “Be a Bunny’s Honey: Buy Cruelty-Free Cosmetics.
